Experienced Cook/Chef 8am-6pm
Friday, Saturday, Sunday week 1.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday week 2.
Applicants must be flexible enough to cover for colleagues during periods of sickness and annual leave.
Overtime in excess of contracted monthly hours paid at an extra £1ph, weekend uplift at 50p ph.
We are looking for a highly organised Cook/Chef with impeccable standards to work at Treelands. Reporting to the Head chef/Kitchen Manager, but working on shift alone you will be responsible for providing exceptional food, for a breakfast, lunch and evening meal service for up to 58 residents. Ideally you have experience of working in a care home setting or be an experienced Cook/Chef looking for a better work life balance. The successful applicant will be also be responsible for stock control whilst ensuring high levels of kitchen / food hygiene, health and safety are maintained.
You will be expected to manage the following:
- Cook all meals from scratch to established seasonal menus based on fresh seasonal ingredients.
- Ensuring consistency of food and service standards delivered to the residents.
- To be self-motivated with the ability to work effectively independently while also being part of a wider team.
- Maintaining company systems, procedures and legislation.
