Tyre Depot Manager – Car & Commercial Tyres
TRS Tyres Ltd is a well-established tyre company working with some of the UK’s leading tyre manufacturers, fleet operators and transport companies.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Tyre Depot Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a busy depot covering both car and commercial vehicle tyres.
Main responsibilities
- Managing the daily operation of the depot
- Supervising, supporting and motivating depot staff
- Planning and allocating work to tyre technicians
- Ensuring customer jobs are completed safely and efficiently
- Managing breakdown and roadside service work
- Providing excellent service to retail, fleet and commercial customers
- Monitoring stock levels and placing stock orders
- Maintaining accurate job, stock and customer records
- Producing quotations and invoices
- Developing existing customer relationships and helping generate new business
- Ensuring company health and safety procedures are followed
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, equipment and vehicle care
- Monitoring depot performance, costs and profitability
- Supporting the team with tyre fitting when required
The ideal candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience within the tyre industry
- Knowledge of both car and commercial vehicle tyres
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads
- Good IT and administrative skills
- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
- A full UK driving licence
- Commercial roadside tyre fitting experience would be an advantage
