Situated in picturesque Dorney, Crocus at Dorney Court aims to transform the idea of a local garden centre into a celebration of plants and nature.
We've revamped the café, creating a relaxed, casual setting that's full of fresh greenery and serves wholesome seasonal produce, delicious cakes and refreshing hot and cold drinks.
We are open 7 days a week, 9am - 5.00pm during the summer, with the cafe serving hot food between 9am and 4pm.
We are hiring full-time Barista/Cafe Assistant. Please note this is a permanent full time role- and not a summer holiday job.
Duties Include:
- Delivering the best coffee experience to every guest, along with the highest levels of customer service.
- Demonstrating your product knowledge to customers by advising and making suggestions.
- Taking orders, making and serving drinks, operating the till, and serving the food.
- Maintaining stock levels and supporting with back of house duties
Skills/Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a similar role in a cafe/coffee shop is essential
- Barista experience also essential, but training "our way" is given and ongoing
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive enthusiastic adaptable approach, and can do attitude, committed to exceeding customers’ expectations, within a team environment.
- Accuracy in cash-handling and the ability to follow directions is important
This is a permanent and full time role working a minimum of 5 days a week, including Saturday &/or Sunday.
Please note this is NOT a temporary/ holiday job.
The role will be paid the NMW (National Minimum Wage) in relation to your age bracket.
