Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our busy Garden Centre Café team. This is a varied and hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting the chef with food preparation and general kitchen duties.
Cooking and preparing meals independently on the chef’s days off and during holidays.
Preparing barista-style coffees and hot drinks.
Providing table service and delivering excellent customer care.
Operating the till and handling customer transactions.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene throughout the café.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous kitchen or café experience (preferred but not essential).
Be confident cooking independently when required.
Be friendly, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
Thrive in a busy environment and have a positive, can-do attitude.
