About Ruby Energy
At Ruby Energy, we're passionate about driving innovation, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and continually improving the way we work. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced and proactive
Business Analyst to join our Change & Delivery team and play a key role in shaping the future of our organisation.
If you enjoy solving business problems, working with stakeholders across multiple departments, and seeing your ideas through from concept to implementation, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Business Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities to improve business processes, increase operational efficiency, and support strategic change across Ruby Energy and its associated businesses.
Working across departments including Sales, Customer Services, Billing, collections/debt, and Industry Data, you'll analyse existing processes, gather business requirements, and help design practical solutions that deliver measurable business benefits.
Unlike traditional Business Analyst roles, you'll remain involved throughout the full project lifecycle, supporting delivery, testing, implementation, and post-go-live activities to ensure successful adoption and lasting improvements.
Where appropriate, you'll also support or lead smaller projects, acting as Project Manager to drive initiatives forward.
What You'll Be Doing-
Analyse business processes, systems, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
-
Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder engagement.
-
Produce business cases and recommendations supported by data and analysis.
-
Map current and future business processes.
-
Support business change initiatives from concept through to implementation.
-
Work alongside Project Managers to deliver projects on time and within scope.
-
Manage smaller change projects where required.
-
Coordinate business testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
-
Support solution design, planning, training, implementation, and go-live activities.
-
Monitor the success of implemented changes and identify further improvement opportunities.
-
Produce clear documentation, reports, process maps, and project updates.
-
Build strong working relationships across the business and act as a key link between operational teams and project delivery.
About You
You'll be naturally analytical, organised, and comfortable working with people across all levels of the business. You enjoy understanding how organisations work and finding smarter, more efficient ways of doing things.
You'll also be confident managing multiple priorities and taking ownership of delivering meaningful change.
Essential Skills & Experience-
At least 3 years experience in a Business Analyst role.
-
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
-
Experience gathering business requirements and process mapping.
-
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Strong organisational and planning abilities.
-
Experience supporting business change and project delivery.
-
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
-
Confident using Microsoft Teams, Outlook and document management systems.
-
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Desirable Experience-
Experience within Energy, Utilities, Sales, or Customer Operations.
-
Exposure to Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.
-
Experience working across multiple concurrent projects.
-
Knowledge of Jira, MS Project, Monday.com or similar PMO tools.
-
Familiarity with CRM systems and operational data management.
