Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and organisation within our premises. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and janitorial services, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for visitors. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of our facilities through diligent cleaning and maintenance duties, supporting a safe and professional atmosphere.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of Hub, communal areas, washroom, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised, floors are swept and mopped, and waste is disposed of correctly.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows and fixtures to uphold visual standards.
- Conduct periodic deep-cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning, window washing, and specialised sanitation procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the relevant person for prompt resolution.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or hazards in the workplace.
- Keep storage areas organised and ensure cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Open the Hub for bookings, close Hub, set up tables and chairs as required, exhibition set up and take down.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial services is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks thoroughly and efficiently.
- Good organisational skills to manage weekly cleaning schedule effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices.
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards maintaining high standards of cleanliness at all times.
Pay: £13.00 per hour
