We provide high-quality, person-centred care for older adults, including those living with dementia, mental health needs, and physical disabilities. About the Role

The role of an Activities Coordinator ensures that all activities are person-centred and inclusive, promoting independence, self-esteem, and enjoyment for residents of all abilities.
You will plan, deliver and evaluate a varied programme of meaningful activities and social events that promote the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of residents. As an Activities Co-ordinator at Limefield Court Care Home, you will ensure residents have opportunities for engagement, stimulation, community involvement, and personalised experiences that enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Activity Planning & Delivery
Plan and deliver a weekly programme of activities tailored to residents’ interests and needs.
Facilitate 1:1, group, and whole-home activities, adapting for dementia, mobility, sensory, and communication needs.
Support residents to maintain hobbies, routines, and interests.
Encourage participation and keep activity boards up to date.
Dietary Awareness
Ensure all food and drink used in activities is suitable for residents’ dietary needs.
Work with care staff to provide safe options, including for modified diets and swallowing difficulties.
Escalate any concerns regarding choking risks or dietary changes to senior staff.
Community Engagement
Build links with local schools, community groups, charities, and churches.
Organise external visits and encourage volunteer involvement.
Resident Wellbeing & Personalisation
Complete activity assessments for new residents and deliver meaningful, person-centred activities.
Support residents experiencing loneliness, low mood, or social isolation.
Involve families in personalised activity planning.
Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain accurate records of activities, participation, and outcomes.
Update activity care plans in line with changing needs.
Ensure activity schedules are visible and accessible to residents, families, and staff.
Training & Professional Standards
Complete all mandatory and role-specific training, including dementia, safeguarding, and communication.
Attend training, supervisions, and follow all relevant policies (e.g. health & safety, infection control).
Environment & Resources
Ensure safe and appropriate use of activity equipment and resources.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Is creative, enthusiastic, and confident in leading groups and 1:1 sessions.
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Is organised and able to plan and deliver structured weekly activities.
Has awareness of modified diets or willingness to undertake diet training.
Is compassionate, patient, and person-centred.
Has strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
Is willing to complete all training and competencies.
