Role Location: Chester, CH3 9GA
Full Time Position - 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm

An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Chester & Maelor Agency.
About the role:
Working in our office or out on the road, you will be expected to prospect and develop new protentional business leads, identify cross sell opportunities and develop relationships to help the agency secure new business. You can be confident that our trusted brand will bring you opportunities to capture renewal dates. We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person, who has a get up and go type of attitude.
What we’re looking for
- New Business Development: Identify, contact and prospect new business opportunities within the SME commercial sector with a view to booking in appointments for the commercial sales team to convert.
- Cross-Selling & Collaboration: Identify opportunities to refer clients to other NFU Mutual services such as Financial Services (Protection, Pensions, Investments), Risk Management Services, and Health & Safety Consultancy.
- Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional service standards at every stage of the customer journey, always meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Compliance & Quality Standards: Ensure all activity complies with NFU Mutual’s regulatory requirements and Training & Competence scheme.
- Teamwork & Agency Contribution: Work collaboratively with colleagues across the agency to contribute to the overall success and customer experience.
Highly motivated professional with a positive, can-do attitude. Using your BDM experience to help the agency consistently achieve their sales targets. Committed to your own learning and development with the support of the agency. Attributes ideal for this role include:
Live within a commutable distance to the Chester & Maelor Agency – CH3 9GA.- Experience working in a business development role or the insurance sector.
- Experience and confident in speaking to potential customers either over the phone or face-to-face to generate and build a pipeline for the agency.
- Experience in working towards and achieving annual targets.
- Excellent in communicating with the ability to navigate complex conversations and achieve positive outcomes.
- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent of A-C including Maths and English.
- Proficient use of I.T. systems.
- Your own car and a full UK driver’s license with no more than 6 current points.
