Business partnering – Build trusted relationships with operational leaders, providing practical advice and constructive challenge to improve standards.
Risk management – Support teams with risk assessments, safe systems of work and effective control measures.
Training & coaching – Deliver engaging Health & Safety training and coach leaders to build confidence and promote positive safety behaviours.
Data & reporting – Analyse Health & Safety data, identify trends and provide clear insight to support decision-making.
Continuous improvement – Help develop our Health & Safety Management Framework, policies and processes and contribute to improvement projects.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical Health & Safety knowledge with excellent communication and influencing skills.
You’ll bring:
Significant Health & Safety experience within a multi-site or geographically dispersed organisation.
Experience in auditing, inspections, assurance and incident investigation.
Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and risk management.
Experience working with and influencing operational leaders.
Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills.
A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to constructively challenge when required.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently across multiple locations.
Good analytical skills and confidence using Microsoft platforms and data to identify trends and opportunities.
Essential qualifications:
A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification, IOSH membership and experience with ISO 45001 would be advantageous.
Experience in funeral services, crematoria, facilities management, logistics, retail or another multi-site operational environment would also be beneficial.
We believe in rewarding our colleagues with a strong, supportive benefits package that helps you feel secure, valued and able to grow.
Time to recharge – Up to 25 days’ annual leave, increasing with service, plus bank holidays.
A little extra reward – Opportunity to earn a yearly bonus of up to £300–£500.
Planning for your future – 4% matched pension.
Peace of mind – Life assurance cover at 2x your salary.
Everyday savings and perks – Access to MyStaffShop, plus eyecare support, flu jab reimbursement and lifestyle discounts.
Support when you need it – 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, occupational health services and confidential counselling.
Learn and grow – Ongoing training and development, including internal learning pathways and apprenticeship opportunities.
Making work easier – Free on-site parking available at most locations.
