Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Handle customer orders efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
- Operate cash registers, process payments accurately, and handle transactions with professionalism.
- Restock supplies and ensure that the café environment remains tidy and inviting throughout shifts.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards at all times.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations relevant to the hospitality sector.
- Previous barista experience is mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic food preparation skills to assist with light kitchen tasks when needed.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
