Overview:
As Kitchen Assistant you will be responsible for helping to keep the kitchen running smoothly by making sure everything is clean, tidy, safe and hygienic. You will have high standards when it comes to cleaning and will work well as part of the team and support the Chefs in delivering excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities of the Kitchen Assistant:
· Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards.
· Cleaning the kitchen, sweeping and mopping floors.
· Deep cleaning fridges and storerooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards.
· Washing dirty dishes, cutlery, cutting boards, pots, pans and loading / unloading the dishwasher.
· Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly.
· Providing assistance to chefs and other kitchen staff as required.
Requirements of the Kitchen Assistant:
· Good knowledge of kitchen safety and health regulations.
· Work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
· Basic food preparation skills.
· Work well alone and as part of a busy team.
· Reliable and have excellent time keeping.
· Ability to follow all instructions given.
You will be required to work between 25 - 30 hours per week. Hours to include evenings and weekends.
Own transport essential due to rural location.
