We are seeking a reliable and professional Removal Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and belongings safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including lorries and vans, to transport goods between locations.
- Load and unload items with care, ensuring heavy lifting is performed safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times whilst adhering to schedules.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Assist with the organisation of items within the vehicle for secure transit.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and mileage.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transportation activities.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or removal driver, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence or equivalent, with a clean driving record.
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing.
- Organised approach to work, with attention to detail in record keeping and vehicle maintenance. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to delivering outstanding service while maintaining safety standards on the road.
