My Next Sofa is looking for a friendly, confident and motivated Furniture Showroom Sales Assistant to join our showroom in Workington.
This is a part-time position of 15 hours per week. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, is confident in sales and can work independently.
As a Showroom Sales Assistant, you will welcome customers, understand what they are looking for and help them choose the right sofa, chair, bed or other furniture from our range.
Main Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and assisting customers in the showroom
- Understanding customers’ needs and recommending suitable products
- Presenting our sofas, furniture, fabrics, colours and available options
- Actively working towards sales and following up with potential customers
- Collecting customer contact details and enquiries
- Taking deposits and helping customers complete their orders
- Learning our products, prices and available payment options
- Keeping the showroom clean, organised and welcoming
- Helping with simple social media content and showroom promotion when required
What We Are Looking For:
- Friendly, confident and approachable personality
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Comfortable speaking with new people and working towards sales
- Able to work independently and take responsibility for the showroom
- Proactive attitude and willingness to find sales opportunities
- Retail, customer service or sales experience is preferred, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are equally important
