Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Counter Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent service to customers, preparing food items, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently at the counter
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism and courtesy
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including sanitising surfaces and utensils
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Assist in restocking supplies and organising the work area as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to enhance customer experience
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory
