Haylie House is a 23 bed Residential Home providing excellent standards of care and support through promoting independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care.
The main purpose of your role is to work alongside our Activity & Wellbeing Co-ordinator to ensure the residents are physically active, stimulated and engaged in activities, whilst respecting their wishes, choices, spiritual, intellectual and mental health and wellbeing needs and ensuring a positive outcome for each person.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working with older people, creative, confident and outgoing, and able to work on their own initiative in a caring environment to support each person’s health and well-being.
Within this role you will encourage participation with residents using a variety of activities and to maintain contact with their family and friends. You will help to organise themed events for our busy calendar as well as educational activities including our Cognitive Stimulation Therapy groups and day-to-day exercises and games.
Experience in working with older people with Dementia would be an advantage as would experience in a similar role. Confidence with digital software is required for recording residents’ activities.
