Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will assist with case preparation, legal research, and administrative tasks to support our lawyers and ensure the smooth operation of the legal department. Duties
- Conduct legal research and analyse relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents to support case development.
- Prepare and organise legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, affidavits, and correspondence.
- Assist lawyers in drafting contracts, agreements, and other legal paperwork.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records of case progress and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, witnesses, and external agencies to gather information and schedule meetings or court appearances.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client queries professionally and efficiently.
- Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and legal standards throughout all activities.
Qualifications
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret laws, regulations, and legal documents effectively.
- Previous administrative experience within a legal or professional environment is desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional manner when dealing with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- A recognised qualification in law or paralegal studies is preferred but not essential.
