Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance during overnight hours. The role involves supporting individuals in a theraputic childrens home, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing throughout the night. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be reliable, and have a compassionate approach to care. Duties
- Monitor residents throughout the night to ensure their safety and wellbeing
- Respond promptly to any calls or needs during the night, providing reassurance and assistance as required
- Record any relevant observations or incidents during your shift accurately and promptly
- Support children with medication or prompts if necessary, following prescribed care plans
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to
- Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare professionals regarding any concerns or updates
- Assist with light domestic tasks such as tidying communal areas or preparing refreshments if needed
Requirements
- Experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good organisational skills to follow individual care plans accurately
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for recording observations and updating records electronically if required
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care and safety
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals during overnight hours
- Flexibility to work night shifts on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays if necessary. This will be 5 on 5 off.
Pay: £25,000.00-£25,500.00 per year
