Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our vibrant finance team within our role at A.P.T HGV, we are a transport company operating out of multiple sites working mainly with LIDL. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company’s financial health. Your expertise will help drive accurate financial reporting, streamline accounting processes, and contribute to strategic decision-making. Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Help manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and proper documentation.
- Utilize our accounting software QuickBooks to record transactions and generate reports.
- Oversee financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with attention to detail and compliance requirements.
- Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in financial services or related industries with a strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in popular accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems.
- Qualified or Part Qualified in Accounting Accreditations such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
- Solid knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial management practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new software tools and technological updates within the finance sector.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
