The Headteacher, staff, children and Governing Body at Tredegar Park Primary School are looking to employ an enthusiastic, energetic and happy caretaker to support the day to day running of the school on a casual basis. This means that there may be some busy periods and some quiet periods with no definite hours per week.
This post is advertising a casual caretaker post to support the substantive caretaker with increasing workload. During the school holidays, increased hours may be given to carry out duties such as painting, decorating, furniture building and general litter picking duties etc. Our caretaker also helps to take care of our animals in our Nurture Farm in the school holidays. This includes mucking out the chickens, ducks and goats along with providing them with suitable food and water.
The successful candidate will support the substantive caretaker with the range of responsibilities and duties to keep the site safe. This position may also include hours covering weekend or evening working when the need arises. On these days, the casual caretaker will be responsible for opening and closing the school building.
We are looking for someone with passion and dedication in order to help us on our journey to provide the best quality education for all at Tredegar Park Primary School. The successful candidate will come into contact with children on a daily basis so it is really important that the successful candidate is positive and nurturing as well as being competent in carrying out the duties of a caretaker.
