Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Home Cook / Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious, tasty meals tailored to the dietary needs of our residents, ensuring high standards of food safety and presentation. Duties
- Plan, prepare, and cook daily meals in accordance with dietary requirements and nutritional guidelines
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food production to ensure timely delivery of meal
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to, including proper storage, handling, and hygiene practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
- Prepare residents’ preferences and special dietary needs
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality roles, ideally within a care home or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Culinary experience with a focus on nutritious meal preparation for diverse dietary requirements
- Good communication skills
- A recognised qualification in catering or culinary arts is preferred but not essential

The working hours are 07.00am -14.00pm Saturday & Sundays
