Preventt is a fast growing fire safety compliance company specialising in passive fire inspections for clients across the UK. We work with residential property managers, hotel groups, social housing providers, and commercial real estate clients to ensure fire door safety through inspections, reporting, and digital asset tracking.
As we expand our national footprint, we’re looking for a commercially minded Operations Manager to take ownership of projects from quotation stage through to delivery, completion, and ongoing client management, ensuring an extremely high-quality service, smooth project execution, and strong client relationships that lead to repeat business.
Role Overview
This is a dynamic, client-facing operational role focused on managing the full project lifecycle and ensuring an excellent client experience from first instruction through to project close-out and beyond.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors and wider team to coordinate project mobilisation, manage delivery, maintain client confidence throughout, and drive account growth through strong service, follow-up, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of projects from quotation stage through to mobilisation, delivery, reporting, completion, and aftercare.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the lifecycle of a project, ensuring clear communication and a high standard of service at every stage.
- Coordinate internal handovers between sales, operations, delivery, and technical/reporting to ensure nothing is missed and projects move forward efficiently.
- Plan and manage project programmes, access requirements, resident communications, site coordination, and any other operational requirements needed for successful delivery.
- Monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and keep clients updated proactively on timelines, challenges, and next steps.
- Support quotation follow-up, repeat work opportunities, renewals, and upselling of additional services where appropriate.
- Build strong long-term relationships with clients so Preventt is seen as a trusted partner rather than a one-off supplier.
- Help improve internal processes, client journey consistency, and operational reporting as the business continues to grow.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, client updates, and operational tracking systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience in an operations, project management, account management, or client delivery role within the built environment, compliance, property, construction, or fire safety sectors would be highly advantageous.
This role demands someone who is proactive, highly organised, commercially aware, and confident managing multiple live projects and client relationships at once.
- Strong experience managing projects and client relationships from instruction through to completion.
- Comfortable owning delivery, solving problems quickly, and keeping clients informed and confident throughout.
- Able to coordinate multiple stakeholders internally and externally, including clients, site teams, and technical colleagues.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to spot repeat work and growth opportunities from strong project delivery and aftercare.
- Familiar with relevant fire safety regulations and standards (e.g. Fire Safety Regulations 2022, BS 8214) or willing to learn.
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working remotely with a high degree of independence, ownership, and accountability.
Pay: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
