We are seeking a knowledgeable and creative Lecturer in animation to deliver high-quality teaching across our animation provision. This is based at our City Centre Campus on a permanent, part time (21 hours per week) basis.
The successful candidate will have strong industry and/or teaching experience, with proficiency in animation software including Toon Boom Harmony & Storyboard Pro, Moho, and the Adobe Creative Suite. They will inspire and support students in developing practical, technical, and creative skills, preparing them for progression into further study or careers within the animation and digital media industries.
The ability to deliver lessons that accommodate a diverse range of learning needs and abilities is essential and experience in working with education support professionals to ensure every student is supported to achieve their academic milestones is also advantageous. Strong communication skills are a must, and your ability to relate your knowledge with passion in a variety of ways will be key to supporting student success.
Our animation course includes a range of modules covering various elements of animation. From the introductory principles, character and background design and client briefs on to supporting students with defining their specialisms and completing their graduate project and portfolio. Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Degree
- Current and valid industry specialism.
- Certificate of education or PGCE.
- Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification.
- English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above.
- Significant Experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
- Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism.
