St Leger Homes are recruiting a temporary part time Safeguarding & Anti-social behaviour Officer to work within Housing Services. The post is initially for 6 months, and the post holder will work within the team, who work city wide, but will be assigned a specific area in the city and will be based at the Civic Office in the City Centre. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of a comprehensive Housing Management Service that includes all aspects of tenancy and estate management including dealing with high level tenancy breaches such as, but not limited to, criminal/illegal activity, drug related cases, Organised Crime Groups (OCG), all aspects of Safeguarding and preparing court files.
The work involves liaising with partners within the geographical area and will contribute to reducing crime and disorder along with sustaining tenancies and creating strong and vibrant communities. The job involves visiting tenants in their homes on a daily basis and attending local meetings with partners and the public.
We are looking for someone with a sound knowledge of housing and estate management, a knowledge of legislation surrounding housing and tenancy management, and the legal grounds for enforcing tenancy conditions.
You will require a good understanding of the principles of Customer Care, be IT literate and have experience of updating computerised record systems, and of keeping detailed and accurate records.
