Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans, ensuring their needs are met effectively
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
- Help with meal preparation and light domestic tasks as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation tools
- Support clients with medication reminders and health monitoring where appropriate
- Facilitate communication between clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring safe transportation
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and following care plans
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
