We're now looking for a reliable and professional LGV/LCV Driver to join our Mawdsleys Logistics team and help us continue delivering an excellent service to customers across our network.
The Role
As an LGV/LCV Driver, you'll work alongside our Transport Supervisors, fellow drivers and colleagues across Mawdsleys to ensure pharmaceutical products are transported safely, legally and efficiently.
You'll play an important role in maintaining our high standards of customer service while ensuring all driving and vehicle activities comply with Operator Licence, DVSA, MHRA and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
As our LGV/LCV Driver, you will:
- Safely transport pharmaceutical products throughout the supply chain, ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in full wherever possible.
- Follow Good Distribution Practice (GDP), DVSA requirements, company SOPs and other relevant transport regulations.
- Support temperature monitoring requirements to maintain product integrity and ensure MHRA compliance.
- Represent Mawdsleys professionally when dealing with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with customers, drivers and Transport Management to support the smooth running of daily operations.
- Support the wider Transport team during busy periods and colleague absence.
- Work collaboratively across Mawdsleys Logistics and contribute to projects supporting the wider business where required.
What We're Looking For From You
We're looking for a dependable and customer-focused LGV/LCV Driver who takes pride in delivering a safe, professional and reliable service.
You'll have:
- CPC training and a registered Tachograph Driver Card.
- Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A flexible approach to shifts, including a willingness to work additional hours when required.
- The ability to use your own initiative and judgement effectively.
- A self-motivated, honest and professional approach to your work.
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance and excellent customer service.
It would be great if you also have:
- A clean driving licence.
- Experience using PDAs or similar handheld devices.
- A good understanding of legal and regulatory requirements within transport.
- Strong planning and workload prioritisation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
