Heanor Phones is a growing electronics repair and retail business with multiple locations specialising in mobile phones, tablets, laptops, gaming consoles, and electronic device repairs. We are looking for an experienced Senior Electronics Repair Technician to join our team and become a key part of our technical department.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled technician capable of carrying out diagnostics, component-level repairs, and board-level repairs across a wide range of electronic devices. The successful candidate will be confident working independently and able to diagnose faults accurately while maintaining high repair standards.

Laptop Repairs
- Screen replacements
- Keyboard replacements

- Hinge repairs
- Motherboard diagnostics
- Component-level motherboard repairs
- Operating system installation and troubleshooting
- Data backup and recovery
Gaming Console Repairs
- HDMI port replacements
- Power supply repairs
- Cooling system repairs
- Hard drive and SSD upgrades
- Software troubleshooting
- Board-level diagnostics and repair
General Technical Duties
- Perform accurate diagnostics and fault finding
- Carry out microsoldering and board-level repairs
- Maintain detailed repair notes and records
- Ensure repairs meet company quality standards
- Assist with technical training of junior staff
- Keep repair workspace clean and organised
- Support technical operations across multiple stores when required
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years repair industry experience
- Proven experience in board-level diagnostics and repair
- Strong microsoldering skills
- Experience repairing iPhones, Samsung devices, tablets, laptops, and gaming consoles
- Ability to read schematics and board views
- Experience using diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Excellent fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ZXW, JCID, 3uTools, PhoneCheck, or similar platforms
- Experience with MacBook board repairs
- Experience with PlayStation and Xbox motherboard repairs
- Experience with Nintendo Switch repairs
- Experience with data recovery services
- Experience managing technical teams
