Duties
- Provide friendly, efficient service to customers at the medicines counter, answering questions and offering medication advice within your scope of practice.
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications under supervision, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety protocols.
- Manage stock levels by receiving deliveries, organizing shelves, and conducting regular inventory checks to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Support medication administration processes by preparing over-the-counter medicines and advising on proper usage when appropriate.
- Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications, patient interactions, and stock movements in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Uphold all safety procedures related to handling medicines, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal of expired or unused products.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by demonstrating excellent communication skills and a caring attitude toward all visitors.
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service, retail or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations will set you apart.
- Strong commitment to patient care with an understanding of confidentiality and data protection regulations.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
