Job Title: Residential Living Support Worker
Location: This is an on-site role at our beautiful location in the village of Market Overton, Rutland.
Job Type: Part Time – 26 hours per week 3:30pm - 10pm (Monday to Sunday as per published rota)
Hourly Rate: £12.95

Role Purpose
As a Residential Living Support Worker, you will provide person-centred care and support to adults with learning disabilities, promoting their wellbeing, independence, and dignity. You will assist with daily living tasks, including personal care and medication, while supporting residents emotionally, socially, and spiritually in line with The Lodge Trust’s Christian ethos.
Working as part of a dedicated residential team, you will help maintain a safe, welcoming, and homely environment, while contributing to meaningful activities such as community engagement and optional evening prayers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centred care tailored to individual needs
- Support residents with daily living tasks, including personal care and maintaining independence
- Administer medication safely in line with policies and training
- Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with residents
- Encourage participation in community activities and skill development
- Promote residents’ wellbeing, rights, and dignity at all times
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns appropriately
- Assist in reviewing care plans and risk assessments alongside senior staff
- Support residents’ spiritual needs in line with the organisation’s Christian ethos
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and homely residential environment
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, including medical incidents and fire procedures
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality and data protection standards
- Work collaboratively as part of the wider team and attend relevant meetings

- Commitment to working within and supporting a Christian ethos
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities
- Understanding of care standards and relevant legislation
- Full UK driving licence
