Location: Reading (Caversham Hub)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
We are looking for a reliable and professional Driver to join our team at our Reading Hub. This is an exciting permanent position created to support our growing operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of calibration equipment, samples, gauges and instruments between CoMech and our clients and suppliers across South East England.
This position requires a strong focus on safety, professionalism and compliance with all relevant regulations, including the Highway Code, UK domestic hours, Company policies, FORS standards, and Railway Group Standards.

Safely transport equipment to and from client and supplier sites

Adhere to all legal driving requirements and company safety policies

Maintain a clean, organised and presentable company vehicle

Complete and obtain signatures for delivery documentation

Carry out daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects

Ensure vehicle and goods are secure at all times

Communicate effectively with managers, colleagues and clients

Assist with warehouse duties when required

Represent the company professionally and deliver excellent customer service
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years) with no more than 3 penalty points

A strong understanding of the Highway Code and safe driving practices

Experience or confidence driving long distances across the UK

A safety-conscious and responsible approach to driving

Flexibility to work additional hours when required

Awareness of quality standards and company procedures

Residence in Reading or within a 15-minute commute of Caversham
