Café Lead (Part-Time) | Boston | Up to £13.00 per hour
We’re a friendly, family-focused gymnastics club with a small on-site café where parents can relax while their children enjoy their classes.
Our current Café Leader has had a change in circumstance, so we’re looking for someone special who can create a warm, welcoming environment, build relationships with our families, and become a familiar, friendly face that everyone looks forward to seeing.
About the Role
This is an independent role, perfect for someone who enjoys taking ownership, making decisions, and creating a positive atmosphere.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of our café during class times, including:
- Opening and closing the café
- Preparing and serving hot & cold drinks
- Basic food prep (toasties, bacon rolls, etc.)
- Providing excellent customer service (this is a big one for us!)
- Stock control and re-ordering supplies
- Purchasing stock (off-site)
- Cleaning and maintaining a tidy space (including mopping floors, cleaning town tables, cleaning the cafe toilets)
- Cashing up and handling the till
- Updating the till, menu, and pricing
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:

- Proactive and takes initiative
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Comfortable working independently
- A confident decision-maker
- Happy to build relationships with our regular customers
Previous café or catering experience is ideal, but not essential, personality and attitude matter most!
Hours
- Tuesday: 3:15pm – 7:15pm
- Thursday: 3:15pm – 6:15pm
- Plus additional time (paid) for weekly shopping/stock purchasing. This can be done at a time to suit you.
- Plus ad-hoc events throughout the year, dates will be given to you in advance.
Requirements
- Full driving licence and access to your own transport (essential for stock purchasing)
- Food Hygiene Level 2 is preferred, but we can provide this if needed.
- Allergy Training - Can be provided if needed.
