Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Glass Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and organising glassware in a busy hospitality environment. This role requires excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure the smooth operation of our establishment. Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential. The position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork and customer service are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Collect used glassware from tables, bar areas, and designated collection points throughout the venue
- Ensure all glassware is handled safely and with care to prevent breakage or injury
- Clean and sanitise glassware according to health and safety standards
- Organise and store clean glassware in appropriate storage areas for easy access by staff
- Assist with setting up tables and bar areas as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including floors and storage spaces
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate collection schedules and address any issues promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and lift light loads of glassware when necessary
- A friendly attitude with a strong focus on teamwork and customer service skills
- Prior experience in hotel, barista, serving, or kitchen roles will be considered a plus
