Salary: £45,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Base: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, with extensive UK travel
Schedule: Includes regular weekend working
About the Role
National Brick Events is one of the UK’s fastest-growing touring consumer events businesses, running large-scale brick events at venues across the country.
As we continue to expand our national calendar, we are looking for an experienced, highly organised and hands-on Events Manager to take ownership of the successful delivery of our events across the UK.
This is not a desk-based Monday-to-Friday events role. You will be based primarily from our Aylesbury operation during the week but will travel extensively throughout the UK, regularly working weekends to lead events on site.
You will be responsible for taking events from the planning stage right through to setup, live event delivery and breakdown, working closely with our management team, event staff, traders, exhibitors and venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for the successful delivery of National Brick Events across the UK.
- Leading event setup, operation and breakdown at venues throughout the country.
- Travelling to events across the UK, with regular weekend and overnight working.
- Managing event staff on site and ensuring teams are organised, briefed and working effectively.
- Coordinating venue access, layouts, loading, unloading and event logistics.
- Liaising with venues in the lead-up to events to confirm operational requirements.
- Managing relationships with traders, exhibitors and displayers attending our events.
- Ensuring events are delivered safely, professionally and to a consistently high standard.
- Overseeing customer experience and resolving operational issues during live events.
- Ensuring event equipment, signage and materials are prepared and ready ahead of each event.
- Working closely with the wider National Brick Events team to continually improve how our events are delivered.
- Supporting the planning and development of an expanding national events calendar.
- Taking ownership and making decisions on site when challenges arise.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in events management, event operations, logistics or a similar management role.
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- A highly organised person who is comfortable managing multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
- A practical, hands-on approach – you must be willing to get involved with event setup and breakdown as well as managing the event itself.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Confidence dealing with venues, suppliers, traders, exhibitors, staff and customers.
- The ability to remain calm and make good decisions when working under pressure.
- A proactive self-starter who is comfortable taking responsibility and working autonomously.
- Flexibility around working hours, particularly weekends.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and stay away from home when required.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
Experience within consumer exhibitions, touring events, family entertainment, toys or collectibles would be advantageous, but finding the right person with strong operational and leadership skills is more important.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time permanent position and the working week will vary around our event calendar.
Our events predominantly take place at weekends, so regular Saturday and Sunday working is an essential part of the role. Time off during the week will be scheduled around event commitments.
The role involves extensive UK travel and regular overnight stays.
