We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to patients in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Support the development and implementation of individualised care plans in collaboration with senior staff
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, promoting their mental well-being
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate documentation
- Maintain accurate records of patient care activities using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Drive between different care settings if required, ensuring timely attendance at appointments or visits
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Hours are
Days 7am till 7pm
Nights 7pm till 7am this would be a 24 hour contract

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
