NSG Environmental Ltd has been delivering work programmes in the nuclear industry for over 40 years. Traditionally in the areas of decommissioning and waste management, NSG now has a broad customer base and provides a wide spectrum of services across the nuclear project lifecycle, ranging from expert consultancy support, R&D and engineering design to rekit and refurbishment, site installation services and high-hazard physical decommissioning works, amongst others. This work is delivered at NSG’s own offices and purpose-built facilities and nuclear sites across the UK. The delivery and management of these projects and programmes of work is carried out by a skilled workforce composed of both white-collar and blue-collar personnel in technical, administrative, and physical roles.

The Role
To support the commercial and operational activity of NSG Environmental Limited by ensuring the provision and effective completion of human resources, learning and development, and training tasks as directed.
Key Objectives
HR Administration
To action promptly and accurately all administrative tasks as assigned by the HR Manager or People Development Advisor. This may include such elements as:
- Maintain HR Admin data in files and HRIS, including new starters
- Adhere to HR Compliance and GDPR guidelines
- Support HR Review process, carrying out reviews with ASWs
- Administration and coordination of IR35 process
- Assist with Recruitment, taking ownership as appropriate
- General administration & record keeping
- Assist with Dispute resolution including investigation documentation and meeting support
- Support Company cars/Driver Eligibility administration
- HR administration support for Hold Engineering Ltd as part of Group support
- Maintain HR Inbox as appropriate
Training / People Development Administration
To action promptly and accurately all administrative tasks as assigned by the People Development Advisor. This may include such elements as:
- Maintain training inbox and trackers as appropriate
- Process training requests, including procurement processes and chasing of certificates as appropriate
- Maintain Learning Management System – including certifications
- Send mandatory training to new starters and chase current certifications for compliance
- Training reporting as required – including regular mandatory training reporting
- Assist with appraisal process
- General learning and development administration & record keeping
- Upkeep of SQEP records, supporting project teams on compliance records
- Administration of PD&PS and Task Assignments (as required)
- Company / Sub-Contractor Inductions (as required)
General Administration
To action promptly and accurately all administrative tasks as assigned by the Head of People and Integration. This may include such elements as:
- Provide general administrative support to wider business support team
- Reception / Phone cover as required
- Meeting room support
Person Specification
Qualifications
- GCSE / NVQ level 2 qualification in appropriate subjects including: English, Mathematics, IT - Essential
- NVQ 2 in Customer Service and other relevant subjects - Desirable
- CIPD Level 3 Qualification or equivalent - Desirable
- Membership of appropriate technical / professional body - Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely or Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalent - Relevant training will be provided if required
Experience & Knowledge
- Demonstrable experience of administration duties within a Business Support function - Essential
- Well organised with the ability to work to timescales and demonstrate attention to detail - Essential
- Routine recording and reporting of information both verbal and numerical - Essential
- Reception of physical and telephone callers - Desirable
- Familiar with liaising with outside contractors, service providers - Desirable
- Experience of employment in a customer facing role - Desirable
- Familiar with structuring and presentation of own work - Desirable
- Minute taking / committee servicing - Desirable
- Used to dealing with confidential and commercial information - Essential
- Familiar with integrated management system operating procedures and requirements etc. - Desirable
Skills & Abilities
- Competent user of MS Office - Essential
