Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Summer Camp Dance teacher to join our team this summer. We are having our K-Pop Dance Camp from 13 July - 11 September 2026. The ideal candidate will be able to teach choreography using music from the Netflix hit, K-Pop Demon Hunters. Children will also engage in mini performances amongst the group, arts & crafts, and more!
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate K-Pop dance classes for children aged 5–11 years
- Teach choreography inspired by popular K-Pop artists while adapting routines to suit different abilities
- Create a fun, energetic and inclusive environment where every child feels encouraged to participate
- Teach dance technique, rhythm, coordination, musicality and performance skills
- Prepare children for an end-of-camp performance or informal showcase where appropriate
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants by following the club's safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies
- Supervise children throughout dance sessions and assist with transitions to other camp activities where required
- Adapt lessons to accommodate varying experience levels and learning styles
- Manage class behaviour professionally while maintaining a positive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with camp staff regarding attendance, welfare concerns and participant progress
- Set up and tidy dance equipment and studio space before and after each session
Skills
- Background in teaching dance to children and/or dance qualifications
- Strong K-Pop dance technique and choreography skills
- Ability to teach children aged 5–11 in a fun, engaging and age-appropriate manner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident leading groups of children in a structured environment
- Ability to motivate, encourage and inspire young dancers
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Creative lesson planning and choreography development
- Ability to adapt routines for different ages and abilities
- Good organisational and time management skills.
Pay: £8.00-£14.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
