About the Role:
At Aitec Quality Technologies Ltd, we believe quality is built into every stage of a technology product, not simply checked at the end. Based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, we develop and support technology solutions where reliability, performance, and usability are essential. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d) to strengthen our quality function and help ensure that our software and digital solutions meet consistently high standards.
You will work closely with software developers, business analysts, project teams, and stakeholders to establish practical testing processes, improve quality standards, and identify potential issues before they reach customers. This is a hands-on management position for someone who enjoys combining technical QA expertise with team coordination and continuous improvement.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment:
Our Lisburn team operates in a collaborative technology environment where quality and innovation go hand in hand. We encourage open communication, practical problem solving, and a working culture where team members can contribute ideas and improve how we deliver technology.
Quality Focus:
Quality is central to everything we build. You will have the opportunity to improve testing standards, introduce better processes, and make a measurable impact on the reliability of our products.
Modern Technology:
Our teams work with modern development and testing practices, including automated testing, API validation, test management platforms, and continuous integration workflows.
Growth:
We support professional development through technical training, industry certifications, knowledge sharing, and opportunities to expand your expertise across software quality and technology delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Planning:
Develop and maintain practical QA strategies, test plans, and quality standards across software projects.
Testing and Validation:
Coordinate functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet technical and business requirements.
Process Improvement:
Review existing QA workflows and introduce improvements that increase test coverage, reduce defects, and make delivery more efficient.
Team Coordination:
Support and mentor QA professionals, distribute testing activities, review results, and encourage consistent testing practices across projects.
Defect Management:
Monitor, prioritise, and track software defects from identification through resolution while working closely with development teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work with developers, project managers, business analysts, and business stakeholders to communicate quality risks, testing progress, and release readiness.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or quality engineering, with previous experience coordinating QA activities or supporting junior team members.
Technical Skills:
Practical knowledge of software testing methodologies, test case development, defect management, regression testing, and API or integration testing.
Automation:
Experience with automated testing tools or frameworks is highly desirable, along with an understanding of continuous integration and delivery practices.
Communication:
You can clearly explain technical quality issues to both technical and non technical stakeholders and work effectively across multiple teams.
Analytical Mindset:
You are detail oriented and systematic, but you also understand the importance of business priorities, delivery timelines, and customer requirements.
Pay: £40,200.00-£50,160.00 per year
