Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled 360 excavator operator to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty 360-degree excavators to perform a variety of earthmoving and excavation tasks. Your expertise will help ensure efficient project progress, safety, and precision on-site. Responsibilities
- Operate 360-degree excavators safely and efficiently across various construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications
- Perform precise digging, trenching, lifting, and material handling tasks as directed by project supervisors
- Conduct routine inspections of excavator equipment, identifying maintenance needs and reporting issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Assist with site preparation activities such as clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up work zones
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate movements and ensure smooth workflow during complex operations
- Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE and maintaining a clean work environment
- Maintain accurate logs of operational hours, equipment usage, and site activities for record-keeping purposes
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of excavator components and maintenance procedures
- Proven experience operating 360-degree excavators in a construction or industrial setting
- Valid commercial driving license with experience in operating heavy machinery on public roads if required for transportation between sites
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination for precise maneuvering of heavy equipment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team environment
- Good physical stamina and alertness to perform demanding tasks safely over extended periods
