Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Monitor customer behaviour and ensure responsible serving of alcohol in compliance with local regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
Skills
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and drink measurements.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain hygiene standards in the bar area.
- Excellent hospitality skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Familiarity with bartending techniques and cocktail recipes is advantageous.
