Leader Operations Administrator
Location: Penrith, Cumbria / Hybrid
Salary: £15,100 per year
Contract: Part Time – Permanent - 22.5 hours per week (Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday)

About the Role:
This role provides administrative coordination for Volunteer Walk Leader and Tour Manager assessment, onboarding and training activity, as well as supplier onboarding and training in the UK and overseas. It ensures processes, communications and records are accurate, timely and well organised, supporting a smooth and professional experience for leaders, suppliers and internal teams.
What you will be doing:
- Coordinate assessment events, onboarding processes and training activity for leaders.
- Maintain accurate application, assessment and training records.
- Manage inboxes, communications and documentation professionally and promptly.
- Prepare and distribute materials, resources and joining instructions.
- Log, acknowledge and track Volunteer Walk Leader and Tour Manager applications.
- Coordinate assessment logistics, including bookings, attendee lists and communications.
- Record assessment outcomes and support feedback and next-step communications.
- Support induction activity, including Teams and in-person sessions.
How you will do it:
- Maintain clear, supportive communication with new leaders, volunteers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Support debrief workshops, engagement activity, conferences and training events.
- Manage bookings, attendance tracking, logistics and training materials.
- Collect and collate feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Coordinate onboarding and training logistics for UK and overseas suppliers.
- Maintain supplier training records and communications.
- Support compliance with data protection and operational processes.
- Flag issues or inconsistencies to the Leader Recruitment & Training Manager.
Who we are looking for:
- Experience in a busy administrative or coordination role
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
- Confident managing records, data and IT systems.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, reliable and able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Flexible and willing to support changing priorities.
- Interest in walking holidays or outdoor environments is desirable.
