- Test systems after repairs to verify proper operation and safety compliance before returning equipment to service.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities for compliance and future reference.
- Collaborate with building management and safety teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and emergency responses.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, safety protocols, and technological advancements to enhance service quality.
Skills
- Proven experience in elevator or escalator maintenance, repair, or installation is essential.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and control circuitry related to elevator technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for documenting work accurately and collaborating with team members.
- Valid certification or license as required by local or national elevator safety standards (e.g., Certified Elevator Technician).
- Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces while following all safety procedures.
