Job Summary: The Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive primary and specialty medical care, including diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, performing exams, prescribing medications, and promoting preventive health within approved scope and protocols. Collaborates with healthcare teams, educates patients and staff, and ensures appropriate referrals and quality care delivery across a wide range of clinical situations.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master of Science in Medicine.
- Certifications:
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants (NCCPA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- License: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Experience: As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions. Plus a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant during the last 3 years.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary and specialty care within the scope of training, licensure, and privileges granted by the MTF, including screening, examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Diagnose and treat diseases, disorders, injuries, and minor trauma; recognize and respond to emergency conditions; prescribe medications and immunizations in accordance with approved protocols; and refer complex or serious cases as appropriate.
- Perform designated diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice and provide care in accordance with established clinical standards and protocols.
- Promote preventive care, health maintenance, wellness, and positive health behaviors through patient and family education and counseling.
- Establish effective collaborative relationships with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
- Provide technical direction, clinical instruction, and education to healthcare staff; conduct lectures and participate in in-service training, staff meetings, case discussions, and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Support Deployment Related Health Assessments (DRHA) and other designated medical services as required by the Task Order.
Physical requirements: The position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical examinations and clinical procedures for extended periods. Candidates must be able to safely assist with patient mobility and handle medical equipment.
Compensation & Benefits: Up to $145,000 + benefits
