Come and Join the Tiny Champs Family – Early Years Opportunities
Tiny Champs Nursery – Walthamstow, E17
Part-Time & Full-Time Opportunities | Qualified & Unqualified Roles Available
Pay: £12.71–£15.81 per hour, depending on qualification and experience
Tiny Champs is a small, independent, family-run nursery in Walthamstow, caring for children from 3 months old through to school age across our four rooms.
We are currently looking for some wonderful new people to join our team, with opportunities available across our Baby, Pre-Toddler, Toddler and Pre-School rooms.
Whether you're an experienced Early Years Practitioner looking for your next role, ready to take the step into room leadership, or someone with a genuine passion for children who would love the opportunity to begin a career in Early Years, we'd love to hear from you.
About Tiny Champs
At the heart of Tiny Champs is our belief that every child is an individual.
Children don't all learn, develop or communicate in the same way, and we don't expect them to. We take the time to really get to know each child and tailor our care, support and learning opportunities around their individual needs, interests, personalities and stages of development.
We have a strong learning-through-play ethos. We want our children to be happy, curious and confident, with the freedom and encouragement to explore the world around them.
We're also very proud of the team and culture we've created.
As a small, family-run setting, we're a close-knit and supportive team. We want our staff to enjoy coming to work, feel comfortable asking for support and know that their contribution is genuinely valued.
We work hard, but we also make time to have fun together, with team-building activities, social events and staff days out throughout the year.

Level 2 Practitioner: £13.81–£14.81 per hour

This role will float between our Baby and Pre-Toddler rooms, supporting both teams and spending time with our youngest children.
For this position, we're much more interested in finding the right person than someone who already has a childcare qualification.
You need to be warm, caring, reliable and genuinely passionate about children. You'll need to be happy getting down on the floor, playing, singing, getting messy, comforting little ones and supporting their individual routines.
If you've always wanted to work with children but haven't yet gained a qualification, this could be a great opportunity to begin your Early Years journey.
Pre-Toddler Room Leader – Level 3

We're looking for a confident, caring and passionate practitioner to take the lead within our Pre-Toddler Room.
You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, supporting and guiding your team while ensuring our children receive consistently high-quality care and learning experiences.
We want a Room Leader who can lead their team while still being hands-on with the children – someone who enjoys being part of the play, understands children's individual development and can inspire good practice within their room.
You'll work closely with our management team and have the opportunity to bring your own ideas and personality to the room.
Toddler Nursery Practitioner – Level 2+

Our toddlers are busy, curious and full of personality, and we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys this exciting stage of development.
You'll be joining a supportive room team and helping our children develop their communication, independence, confidence, relationships and understanding of the world through play.
We want someone who isn't afraid to get involved – whether that's getting messy with paint, singing songs, reading the same favourite story again, exploring outdoors or simply sitting alongside a child and becoming part of their world.
Pre-School Nursery Practitioner – Level 2+
25 hours per week | £13.81–£14.81 per hour
Minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification required.
We're looking for an enthusiastic practitioner to join our Pre-School team and support our oldest children as they develop the skills and confidence they need for their next chapter.
At Tiny Champs, school readiness isn't about turning our nursery into a classroom.
We believe children learn through play, exploration, conversation, relationships and meaningful experiences.
You'll help our Pre-School children develop their independence, confidence, communication, friendships and love of learning while recognising that every child develops at their own pace.
