We are seeking a versatile and experienced General Builder - Multi Skilled Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills across various trades, enabling them to contribute effectively to diverse building projects. Responsibilities
- Assist with a variety of construction tasks including carpentry, roofing, masonry, and general building work.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
- Carry out roofing repairs and installations, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Perform construction painting, decorating, and finishing work as required.
- Conduct plumbing tasks such as installing or repairing pipes and fixtures.
- Engage in fabrication work, including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
- Support electrical work where necessary, including basic wiring or fixture installation.
- Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and organisation to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, roofing, masonry, welding, plumbing, electrical work, or fabrication.
- Proficient use of hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or instructions is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Relevant certifications or licences (e.g., CSCS card) are preferred but not essential.
- A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills and a commitment to safety standards.
