We are seeking 2- 3 caring, fun, and enthusiastic Play Workers to join our friendly out-of-school club team.
This role involves planning and delivering engaging, high-quality play opportunities for children aged 3 to 11 years. If you are creative, energetic, or have a passion for arts and crafts, music, or sports, we would love to hear from you!
Shift Patterns & Working Hours
This is a Breakfast and After School Club position only (term-time), making it ideal for university students, parents, or anyone seeking structured, part-time split hours.
- Morning Shift: 07:00 – 09:15
- Afternoon Shift: 15:00 – 17:30 (Shift availability will be discussed at interview)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, play alongside, and interact positively with children during wrap-around care hours.
- Help plan and organise age-appropriate creative crafts, games, sports, and recreational activities.
- Ensure the physical safety, welfare, and emotional well-being of all children in your care.
- Promote positive behaviour, social interaction, and inclusive play among all age groups.
- Assist with preparing and serving breakfast and afternoon snacks, ensuring all individual dietary requirements and allergies are followed.
- Maintain a clean, organised, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Communicate professionally and warmly with parents, carers, and school staff.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience working with children aged 3–11 in a childcare, school, or play setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to build quick rapport with children and colleagues.
- Attributes: Patience, creativity, high energy, and a genuine passion for childcare.
- Reliability: Punctuality and commitment to maintaining shift patterns during school term time.
