Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Dismantler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely disassembling vehicles in a professional environment, ensuring all parts are removed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities
- Dismantle vehicles systematically, removing parts such as engines, transmissions, body panels, and interior components.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to facilitate disassembly processes.
- Ensure that all parts are removed without damage, preparing them for resale or recycling.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during dismantling activities.
- Assist with the disposal or storage of vehicle fluids and hazardous materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily dismantling targets and uphold quality standards.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge is essential to understand vehicle systems and components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers is required.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact wrenches is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, handling vehicle parts weighing up to 40 kilograms or more.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within set timeframes.
- Attention to detail to prevent damage during disassembly and ensure accurate removal of parts.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and adherence to safety protocols.
