We're looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead the opening of our brand-new Irish pub launching at the end of August.

As General Manager, you'll be the face of the pub. You'll lead from the front, build an outstanding team, create a culture of genuine hospitality, and establish the venue as the heart of the local community from day one.
Working closely with the Area Manager, you'll oversee the full opening process, recruit and develop your team, drive commercial performance, and create a pub that guests and staff are proud to be part of.
Responsibilities
- Lead the successful launch and day-to-day operation of the pub.
- Be the face of the business, building strong relationships with guests, regulars and the local community.
- Deliver genuine Irish hospitality, creating a welcoming atmosphere for every customer.
- Recruit, train and develop a passionate, customer-focused team.
- Lead by example with a hands-on management style, spending time on the floor supporting the team.
- Create a positive culture where great service and teamwork come naturally.
- Work closely with the Area Manager to achieve business objectives and maximise performance.
- Manage recruitment, rotas, labour costs and team development.
- Maintain excellent standards across service, cleanliness and presentation.
- Oversee stock control, ordering and supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, food safety and health & safety legislation.
- Drive sales through events, live sport, entertainment and community engagement.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and turn first-time visitors into loyal regulars.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a General Manager or experienced Deputy/Assistant Manager ready to step up.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- A natural people person with the personality and confidence to become the face of the pub.
- Proven ability to recruit, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to get stuck in wherever needed.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing labour, stock and budgets.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Confidence managing busy sporting events, live entertainment and weekend trade.
- High standards and attention to detail.
- Personal Licence Holder (or willing to obtain one immediately).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and key trading periods.
