Overview
The Warehouse Technician is a vital, hands-on member of the operational team responsible for the meticulous preparation, testing, and maintenance of a diverse range of industry-standard AV equipment. Working as part of a collaborative team and following established procedures, you will ensure all technical assets are event-ready, accurately tracked within the hire management system, and handled safely during loading and unloading. This role is focused on the practical execution of the equipment lifecycle to maintain a safe, clean, organised, and efficient environment that supports the professional delivery of every live event project.
This is a seasonal role designed to cover our peak business periods, initially offered on a fixed-term basis until 11th December 2026 with the potential to become permanent, though this is not guaranteed.
As this is a full-time, in person role, you will need to live within commutable distance from South Godstone, Surrey.
Responsibilities
As a key member of the warehouse team, you’ll be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and managing our stock of AV equipment to ensure the smooth and professional delivery of every project.
- Equipment Preparation & Testing: Meticulously test and prepare a wide range of industry-standard audio, video, lighting, and rigging equipment, ensuring all kit is functional, clean, and prepped to the required technical standards.
- Procedural Compliance: Strictly follow the company’s defined prep and de-prep procedures to guarantee consistent quality and equipment readiness for every project.
- System & Inventory Accuracy: Accurately utilise the company’s hire management software to scan equipment in and out, ensuring real-time inventory integrity and asset tracking.
- Logistics & Loading Support: Actively participate in the safe and efficient loading and unloading of vans and trucks, adhering to manual handling best practices and loading bay protocols.
- Operational Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, tidy, and highly organised working environment, ensuring that workstations, storage areas, and communal spaces meet safety and professional standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a high-performing warehouse team, communicating clearly with colleagues, the Warehouse Management Team and the wider team to meet demanding event deadlines.
Skills and Experience
- Technical Interest & Aptitude: A genuine passion for live events and technical production, with an understanding of AV equipment (Lighting, Audio, Video, Rigging) and a strong desire to develop professional technical skills. A keen interest or experience in either lighting or cable would be beneficial.
- Collaborative & Self-Motivated: The ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced team and the self-discipline to work independently on individual prep tasks when required.
- Adaptable & Reliable: A proactive approach to following technical instructions and operating procedures, while possessing the initiative to solve basic problems and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Strong Communication & Accuracy: Good communication skills and a high level of attention to detail, particularly when using inventory management systems and testing equipment.
- Flexibility & Commitment: A flexible approach to working hours, including participation in an evening 'on-call' support rota and a Saturday rota (approximately 1 in 4 but subject to change) with a day off provided in lieu. While this role is fully warehouse-based, there are occasional opportunities to go out on-site to support field operations. Availability for additional weekend or evening work may also be required in some circumstances to meet business needs.
- Commuting: The ability to reliably commute to and from our warehouse in South Godstone, on a daily basis, to meet early morning starts or evening finish times.

Pay: £26,437.00-£28,000.00 per year
