We’re looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join us on a maternity cover basis, working across our practices in Uttoxeter and Tutbury. The two practices are just 15 minutes apart, giving you plenty of variety while remaining part of one close-knit team. We’re centrally located with excellent road links, making us an easy commute from a wide surrounding area.
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
This is a 40-hour week, worked over 4 or 5 days, with no out-of-hours requirement. You’ll work across both our Uttoxeter and Tutbury practices, seeing a varied caseload with a good mix of surgery and medicine. We offer plenty of clinical freedom and autonomy, while always having experienced colleagues around you for support and discussion. There are 15 Saturday mornings per year, running from 8:30am–12:45pm.
You’ll be joining a lovely, supportive team of vets and RVNs, with a real focus on working together and helping each other out. We have certificate holders in both Surgery and Medicine within the team, so you'll have access to experienced colleagues who are happy to share their knowledge and support your development. We have a great range of equipment to support first-opinion clinical work, including: digital X-ray, dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory and experienced surgical and medical clinicians within the team.
