Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support to an individual in need of assistance with daily life. The ideal candidate will have experience or education in neurodivergence. This role is vital in allowing them to maintain their independence while receiving the necessary support.
6 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide encouragement with aspects of daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with medication administration and monitor health conditions as required.
- Facilitate social activities to enhance the quality of life for the client.
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Drive the client to appointments or social engagements as needed.
- Provide support with pets
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving roles such as support work or home care is preferred.
- Familiarity with autism and mental health care practices is essential.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- A valid driving licence is required for transportation duties.
- Must be happy to work in a home with pets.
