Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering excellent customer service, ensuring smooth restaurant operations, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food service, strong organisational skills, and a positive attitude. Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, providing attentive and courteous service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring timely delivery to optimise customer satisfaction
- Assist with food preparation tasks in line with food safety standards and restaurant procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and manage basic maths calculations for bills and change
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when required
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests efficiently without compromising quality
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in order-taking and cash handling
- A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
